Might be getting another job sooner than I thought
Apr 4, 2008, 03:25:32

So yeah, I filled out an online application for The Camera Company a while ago, hoping that I would get a job there. I mean, I love photography, and (if you haven't noticed already), I'm a techno geek which means I'm able to learn how to use just about any kind of technology (Sometimes, it takes longer for some things, but still)

Anyways, I got an e-mail from the owner of the west-side location just now, saying that there's an opening for a part-time Sales position (2 or 3 evenings, and 1 or 2 weekend days)

I can't help feeling so excited about the job, to be honest

Bio
I'm a 26 year-old digital artist, currently living in Madison, Wisconsin. Most of what I do involves a lot of photomanipulation/photography, although I have done some 3D landscape render work in the past.

Real Life

I'm currently looking for work, since I got laid off from my previous part-time job (due to financial issues)  Although I reside in Wisconsin, I have traveled out of state in the past:  Chicago, Indiana, Ohio, Virginia, Tennessee, Florida, Iowa.  The last time I went down to Florida, I was with my old high school's band program for the All-America Music Festival (Which was a total blast)

Digital Art

As I mentioned above, I primarily do digital art.  My main area of interest is in photomanipulation, although I have done quite a bit of digital photography (started out in film, first), as well as some 3D landscape work.  I'm usually VERY picky about what goes in my gallery here on Storm-Artists, so don't expect a whole lot of submissions at any one time.  Don't be surprised if you see a particular submission in my gallery one day, and in the Scraps the next (That's my way of keeping my gallery fresh)

What a small world we live in, eh?  Yeah, the Thai Pavilion definitely is a nice place.

You don't happen to work at the Noodles

Nope, I don't work anywhere.

Are you from dA? I am too! I usually hang out at the devart bot account. I've been active until last Friday when I couldn't access the site at all and I don't know what's wrong with it. :(

Great gallery so far!

Heh, yeah

I AM from dA as well, actually

I'm about to stop paying for subscriptions there, since I feel that the admins don't really care about the community/usability of the site, and in all honesty, I'm either going to stop submitting stuff there altogether, or re-size my stuff down to where it won't have a chance of being stolen

Good to hear that.

The problem is that I didn't leave dA at all. I just cannot access it. I tried to contact the Help Desk via e-mail, but it's not much of a help and since I've been looking at all of those web anonymisers, there appears to be no way to login to the site and most web anonymisers won't even allow to interact with the site.

I found one site called YoutubeProxy.com and I'll try that site to see what I can find. ^^
